Flow measurement worksheet
Enter equipment design data and field readings to estimate water flow through the measured component.

Design reference
Equipment data
When both design PSI and design head are entered, design PSI is used as the calculation reference. If PSI is blank, design head is converted to PSI using specific gravity.
02
Field measurements
On-site readings
Take pressure readings across the same component using the designated manufacturer test points. Confirm gauge zero and units before calculating.

Measured ΔP / Design ΔP—
Design pressure reference—
Calculation basis & field-use notice: Estimated flow uses the square-root relationship for a fixed hydraulic resistance: GPM = design GPM × √(measured ΔP ÷ design ΔP). Differential head = PSI × 2.31 ÷ specific gravity. Approximate water-side capacity = GPM × 500 × ΔT. Results are estimates and depend on accurate design data, fluid properties, test locations, and stable operating conditions. Verify against the applicable equipment submittal and manufacturer service documentation. This is an independent field utility and is not an official manufacturer application.
